Reply Kotoshironushi

事代主神の返事
武甕槌神と経津主神は出雲のイタサにある渚に到着した。
そこで10握りの剣を大地に突き立てた。
そして、片膝を立てて座り、大己貴神に言った。
「高皇産霊尊が孫を葦原中国の王にしようと思っている。
我々二人は先行して平定に派遣された。
大己貴神、帰順か戦闘か。
選択せよ。
大己貴神は言った。
「私の息子に相談して返答します。」
武甕槌神と経津主神が来た時、大己貴神の息子事代主神は、出雲の美保で魚を釣ったり、鳥を射たりして、レジャーを楽しんでいた。
大己貴神は稲脊脛命（イナセハギ）を使者として送った。
稲脊脛命は速度の速い船で事代主神に会いに行った。
稲脊脛命は高皇産霊尊のメッセージを事代主神に伝えた。
そしてその返事を待った。
事代主神は言った。
「父は高皇産霊尊に抵抗しない方が良い。私は従います。」
事代主神自身は波間に青い柴で垣根を作り、船の側板を踏んで海中に消えた。
使者の稲脊脛命は急いで戻り報告した。
