五瀬命の死
5月8日。
磐余彦（イワレビコ）軍は茅渟（ちぬ）の海（大阪湾）の山城水門（山城港）に到着した。
その頃になると、五瀬命の矢傷が悪化した。
五瀬命はものすごく痛がった。
五瀬命は剣を抜き、雄たけびをした。
そして五瀬命は言った。
「残念。戦士が賊に傷つけられ報復しないで死ぬ。」
時の人々は、その話を聞き、山城水門（山城港）を雄水門（雄港）と呼んだ。
磐余彦軍は進軍した。
紀国の亀山で五瀬命は亡くなった。
磐余彦は五瀬命を亀山に葬った。
6月23日。
磐余彦軍は名草邑に到着した。
磐余彦軍は名草戸畔（なくさとべ）と言う女賊を殲滅した。

そう言うと、稻飯命は剣を抜き海の中に入った。
三毛入野命（磐余彦の兄）も恨んで言った。
「我が母と叔母は海の神。
なのにどうして波を立てて、溺れさせるのか。」
三毛入野命は波頭を踏んで常世の国に行った。

常世の国：根の国とは別の死者の国。桃源郷や不老不死の国とも言われる。海の向こうにあると言われている。
