そして瓶を沈めた。
すると瓶の口が下を向いた。
暫くすると、多くの魚が浮き上がり口を開いた。
椎根津彦は磐余彦にその様子を報告した。
磐余彦は大いに喜んだ。
磐余彦は丹生の川上に生えているたくさんの榊を根こそぎ掘り、諸々の神を祀った。
この時から、祭儀の際、お神酒瓶が置かれるようになった。
磐余彦は道臣に言った。
「私自身が今、高皇産霊尊を顕斎（ウツシイワイ）しよう。
お前を儀式の主とする。
儀式の主は通常女性だ。
女性らしく厳姫（イツヒメ）と名付ける。
そこに置いた土の器をイツヘにしよう。
火の名を厳香来雷（イツノカグツチ）、水の名を厳罔象女（イツノミツハノメ）、食物の名前を厳稲魂女（イツノウカノメ）、薪の名を厳山雷（イツノヤマツチ）、草の名を厳野椎（イツノノヅチ）とする。」
