百襲姫は夜が明けてから櫛箱を開いた。
櫛箱の中には麗しい小さなオロチが入っていた。
おろちの長さや太さは丁度服の紐程だった。
百襲姫は驚いて叫んだ。
すると大物主は大いに恥じた。
大物主はすぐ人の形になった。
大物主は言った。
「あなたは我慢できなかった。
私は恥を負った。
今度は、私があなたに恥ずかしい姿を与えよう。」
大物主はそう言うと空を飛び、御諸山（ミモロヤマ（三輪山））に帰って行った。
百襲姫は空を仰ぎ悔いた。
百襲姫はその場に座った。
しかし、百襲姫の下には箸が立ててあった。
百襲姫は箸に陰部を貫かれた。
百襲姫は死んだ。
百襲姫は大市（オオイチ）に葬られた。
時の人は墓を見て箸墓と呼んだ。
箸墓は昼間は人が造り、夜は神が作った。
墓は大坂山の石を運んで造った。
山から墓まで人が連なって、手渡しで石を運んだ。
人々は詠った。

オオサカニ、ツギノボレル、イシムラヲ、タゴシニコサバ、コシガテムカモ。
