Beginning of the five grains

五穀の始まり

報告を受けた天照は大変怒った。
天照は月夜見に言った。
「私は月夜見が悪いと思う。
月夜見に会いたくない。」
天照と月夜見は会わない様になった。
天照は昼に住んだ。
月夜見は夜に住んだ。

天照は天熊人（アマノクマビト）を呼んだ。
天照は天熊人に保食神（ウケモチノカミ）を見に行くように命令した。
天熊人は葦原中津国に降り、保食神を確認した。
保食神は死んでいた。
しかし驚くべき現象が起きていた。
保食神の頭から牛馬が生まれた。
額の上に粟が生えていた。
眉の上に蚕が生まれた。
目からは稗が生えていた。
お腹から稲が生えていた。
陰部から麦と大豆と小豆が生えていた。
天熊人はこれらをすべて持ち帰った。
そして、天熊人は天照に報告した。
