Sin of Azunahi

Oshikuma Prince was camped in Uji led the army.

阿豆那比（アズナヒ）の罪


忍熊（オシクマ）親王は軍を率いて宇治に陣を敷いた。
気長足姫（オキナガタラシヒメ）は紀伊に到着し、息子に日高で会った。
気長足姫は家臣と協議し忍熊親王を攻撃する為に小竹（シノノ）宮殿に移動した。
この時、夜の様な暗さになり、何日も経過した。
当時の人は常夜を行くと言った。
気長足姫は豊耳にこの変事を聞いた。
「この変事は何だろう？」
豊耳は紀一族の先祖です。
一人の翁が言った。
「私が聞いたところによると、この様な変事を阿豆那比（アズナヒ）の罪と言うそうです。」
気長足姫は翁に言った。
「どういうことか？」
翁は答えた。
「二つの社の祝者（ホフリ・神官）を一緒に葬っているからではないでしょうか。」
気長足姫は村の人々を調査するよう家臣に命令した。
村人が言った。
「小竹（シノノ）の神官と天野（アマノ）の神官はとても仲が良い友人だった。
小竹の神官が病になり、死んだ。
天野の神官が激しく泣き、言った。
「私は彼が生きている時、仲の良い友人だった。
死後、違う墓には入れない。」
こう言って、屍のそばに自ら伏して死んだ。
その為に同じ墓に葬った。
思い当たるのはこれだけだ。」
気長足姫は墓を開いた。
話は本当だった。
棺を新しくして、それぞれ違う場所に埋葬した。
すると、日の光が輝いた。
昼と夜の区別ができた。
