辛酉（ＢＣ559）、春1月1日。
磐余彦（イワレビコ）は橿原の宮で即位した。
この年を天皇の元年とする。
第一妃を尊び皇后と称した。
皇子も2人誕生した。
皇子の名は神八井命（カムヤイノミコト）と神渟名川耳尊（カムヌナカワミミノミコト）。
古語では次のように称している。
「畝傍の橿原に、御殿の柱を大地の底の岩に立てて、高天原に千木高く、はじめて天の下を治めた天皇。」
その名を「神日本磐余彦火火出見天皇（カムヤマト-イワレビコ-ホホデミ-スメラミコト）」。
磐余彦が初めて国政をする日、道臣命（ミチオミノミコト）は大来目部（オオクメラ）を率いていた。
道臣命達は磐余彦から密かに命令を受けていた。
道臣命達は添歌（ソエウタ）・倒語（サカシマゴト）を使って災いを祓い除いた。
倒語が使われた始まりです。
添歌：他の事になぞらえて思いを告げる詩。
倒語：相手に判らせず、味方だけに通じるように作った言葉。
二年春。2月2日。
磐余彦天皇は功績の大小に応じて賞を与えた（論功行賞）。
道臣命は宅地を賜わった。
磐余彦天皇は道臣命を築坂邑に居住させ、特に重く用いた。
磐余彦天皇は大来目部を畝傍山の西、川辺に居住させた。
今、久米邑というのはこれが始まりです。
磐余彦天皇は椎津根彦（シイネツヒコ）を倭の国造りに任命した。
磐余彦天皇は弟猾（オトウカシ）にタケダ邑を与えた。
弟猾の家系は猛田の県主（アガタヌシ）になった。
弟猾は宇陀の主水部（モヒトリ）の先祖である。
磐余彦天皇は弟磯城（オトシキ）を磯城邑の県主に任命した。
弟磯城の名は黒速（クロハヤ）という。
磐余彦天皇は剣根（ツルギネ）を葛城の国造りに任命した。
磐余彦天皇は八咫烏（ヤタガラス）に賞を与えた。
八咫烏の子孫は葛野主殿（カズノノトノモリ）の県主である。
四年、春、2月23日。
磐余彦天皇は意志を書いた文書を発行した。
「我が皇室の先祖の霊が、天から降り、眺められて、我が身を助けてくれた。
今多くの敵を征伐し、国は何事もない。
そこで天の神々を祀って大きな考えを申し上げたい。」
磐余彦天皇は祀る場所を鳥見山の中に作った。
その場所を、上小野（カミツオノ）の榛原、下小野（シモツオノ）の榛原。
磐余彦天皇はその場所で高皇産霊尊（タカミムスビノミコト）を祀った。
31年、夏、4月1日。
磐余彦天皇は各地を旅した。
磐余彦天皇は腋上（ワキガミ）にある嗛間（ホホマ）の丘に登り、国の形を望み眺め言った。
「なんと素晴らしい国を得た。
狭い国ではあるが、蜻蛉（アキツ。トンボの事）が交尾している様に山々が重なり囲んでいる。」
これによって初めて秋津州（アキツシマ）という名前が出来た。
昔、伊弉諾尊（イザナギノミコト）がこの国を名付けた時、
「日本（ヤマト）は心安らぐ国。良い武器がたくさんある国。優れていてよく整った国。」
伊弉諾尊はこの様に言った。
また大己貴大神（オオアナムチノオオカミ）は国造りの時、
「美しい玉垣の様な山々に囲まれた国。」
大己貴大神はこの様に言った。
饒速日命（ニギハヤヒノミコト）は天の岩船に乗って大空を飛びまわり、この国に降り立った。
饒速日命は言った。
「空から見て良い国、日本（ヤマト）の国。」
神武の42年、春、1月3日。
磐余彦天皇は神渟名川耳を皇太子にした。
神武の76年、春、3月11日。
磐余彦天皇は橿原の宮で崩御した。
127歳だった。
翌年、秋、9月12日。
磐余彦天皇は畝傍山の東北の陵に埋葬した。
