大日本根子彦国牽天皇（オオヤマト-ネコヒコ-クニクルノ-スメラミコト）は通称国牽（クニクル）と呼ばれていた。
孝元は諡号です。
国牽は孝霊天皇の息子です。
母は細媛です。
細媛は磯城の知事の大目の娘です。
孝霊の36年。春、1月。
国牽は皇太子になった。
この時、国牽は19歳。
孝霊の76年。春、2月。
太瓊（孝霊天皇）が死んだ。
孝元の元年。春、1月14日。
国牽は即位した。
国牽は先の皇后を尊び皇太后と呼んだ。
この年、丁亥。
孝元の4年。春、3月11日。
国牽は都を軽に移した。これを境原宮という。
孝元の6年。秋、9月6日。
国牽は孝霊天皇を片丘馬坂の墓に葬った。
孝元の7年。春、２月２日。
国牽は欝色謎（ウツシコメ）を皇后にした。
欝色謎は3人の子どもを産んだ。
三人の名前は、大彦（オオヒコ）、稚日本根子彦大日日（ワカヤマト-ネコヒコ-オオヒヒ）、倭迹迹媛（ヤマトトトヒメ）。
国牽は欝色謎の他に妻を持っていた。
第二夫人の名は伊香色謎（イカガシコメ）です。

名前は彦太忍信（ヒコフツオシノマコト）です。
