皇后の播磨稲日大郎姫は死んだ。

秋。7月7日。
大足彦（オオタラシヒコ）は八坂入媛（ヤサカイリヒメ）を皇后に起用した。

景行の53年。秋。8月1日。
大足彦は諸卿に言った

小碓王が平定した国を旅行したい。」
この月、大足彦の牛車は伊勢を経由して東海道を進んだ。

大足彦は上総の国に行った。
大足彦は海の航路で安房の港に入った。
この時、覚賀（カクカノ）鳥が鳴いた。
大足彦は覚賀鳥を見たいと思った。
大足彦は海の中に入った。
大足彦は砂の中に大きな蛤を見つけた。
磐鹿六雁（イワカムツカリ）は蒲の葉を襷掛けにして、ハマグリをナマス料理にした。
磐鹿六雁は膳（カシワデ）一族の先祖です。
大足彦は六雁の仕事を褒めた。
大足彦は六雁に膳大伴部の役職を与えた。

大足彦は東方の国からの帰る途中、伊勢に滞在した。
この滞在場所は綺（カニハタ）宮です。

景行の54年。秋。9月19日。
大足彦は伊勢から大和の纒向（マキムク）宮に帰った。

景行の55年。春。2月5日。
大足彦は彦狭島（ヒコサシマ）を東海道15国の長官に任命した。
彦狭島は豊城（トヨキ）の孫です。
彦狭島は春日の穴咋（アナクイ）村に到着した時、病気になり死亡した。
この時、東方の国の人々は彦狭島が赴任しなかった事を嘆き悲しんだ。
東方の人々は密かに彦狭島の死体を盗み、上野（コウズケ）に葬った。
