日本武（ヤマトタケル）の遺言。

日本武は能褒野（ノボノ）の到着後、病状が悪化した。
日本武は捕虜にしていた蝦夷（エミシ）人を伊勢神宮に奉納した。
日本武は吉備武彦（キビタケヒコ）を大足彦（オオタラシヒコ）天皇に派遣した。
吉備武彦は日本武の代理で進言した。
「私は勅命を受け、遠く東の夷を討伐しました。
私は神の恩を受け、天皇の威勢を借り、反乱者に罪を与え服従させ、悪く荒々しい神も討伐しました。
私は鎧を収納し、矛をケースに収納し、安心して帰ってきました。
私はいつか大足彦天皇に報告しようと思っていました。
しかし、私の命は尽きます。
私の余命は残りあとわずかです。
私はさびしく荒野に倒れ、私は誰に話す事もありません。
私は自分の身が滅ぶことは惜しみません。
私が残念に思う事は、大足彦天皇に仕える事が出来なくなる事です。」
日本武は能褒野で死んだ。
日本武は30歳だった。
