草薙の剣の由来。

この年、日本武（ヤマトタケル）は初めて駿河に行った。
駿河に賊がいたが、賊は日本武に従順した。
しかしこれは罠であった。
賊は日本武を欺いた。
賊は言った。
「この野には大きな鹿が多い。
大きな鹿の吐く息は朝霧の様です。
大きな鹿の足は若木の様です。
日本武将軍、この野で狩りをしてはいかがでしょう。」
日本武は賊の言葉を信じた。
日本武は野に入り狩りをした。
賊は日本武を殺そうと最初から考えていた。
賊は日本武が野の中央まで来た時に火を放った。
日本武は欺かれた事に気が付いた。
この時、天叢雲剣が鞘から飛び出した。
天叢雲剣は日本武の周囲の草を刈り取った。
日本武は火打石を取りだし、迎え火を作った。
日本武はこれで難を逃れた。
この時から、天叢雲剣の剣は草薙の剣と呼ばれるようになった。
日本語で草を刈り取る事を「Kusa　wo Nagu」と言う。
日本武は言った。
「本当に欺かれるところだった。」
日本武は賊を全員焼き殺した。
その場所を焼津と呼んだ。
今の焼津市です。
