役人が答えた。
「天皇が父王を慕っています。
それで白鳥を飼育しようと思っています。
その為にこの白鳥を贈ります。」
蒲見別は言った。
「白鳥も焼けば黒くなるだろう。」
そして蒲見別は白鳥を奪った。
役人はその事件を足仲彦（タラシナカツヒコ）天皇に報告した。
足仲彦は蒲見別を憎んだ。
蒲見別が父に対して無礼な事をしたからだ。
足仲彦は蒲見別に兵を派遣した。
兵は蒲見別を殺した。
蒲見別は足仲彦の異母弟です。
当時の人は言った。
「父は天上人であり、兄は天皇だ。
蒲見別は天を侮り、天皇に背いた。
罪は逃れられない。」
この年、大歳壬申。

足仲彦は気長足姫（オキナガタラシヒメ）を皇后にした。
足仲彦は気長足姫と結婚する前に大中姫（オオナカツヒメ）を妻にしていた。
大中姫は彦人大兄（ヒコヒトオオエ）の娘です。
彦人大兄は足仲彦の叔父です。

弟姫は大酒主（オオサカヌシ）の娘です。
